Grades Served: Grades 7-8

Location: Southern most school located between South Lynhurst and Westbrook, north of Troy and south of I-170.

Directions: I-465 West/South to Sam Jones. East on Sam Jones to Lynhurst Drive. Turn right (south) on Lynhurst. After going over I-70 turn left onto the drive to the school.

The staff of Lynhurst 7th-8th Grade Center believes that all students can learn and become life-long learners. We believe that our school’s purpose is to educate all students to mastery of essential skills. We will promote a respectful, nurturing and safe learning environment. We accept reasonability to do what is best for all students.

*Note The grade of F will not be given for midterm reports. If a student’s performance indicates that the student does not yet demonstrate mastery at the 70% level on the appropriate state standards, a grade of I will be given. The grade of I means that specific “intervention” is planned to assist the student in meeting the standards by the end of the grading period. When the grade of I is given, the teacher will list the intervention(s) to be used on the midterm report.

Facility: Opened in August of 2005. Seven Computer labs, media center, pool, 2 gymnasiums, wrestling and weight rooms, distance learning center, auditorium, cafeteria, guidance service, administrative offices, outdoor football, tennis, baseball, and softball facilities.
