Meet our Athletic Director–Katelin Casselman

Katelin Casselman will be starting her second year as the Athletic Director at Lynhurst 7th and 8th Grade Center, and her 8th year overall in education. Katelin began her career as a paraprofessional and a coach at Lynhurst 7th and 8th Grade Center in 2012. She then obtained a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Butler University and began her teaching career at Brownsburg High School in 2014. While at Brownsburg, Katelin coached girls cross country, varsity girls basketball, and was the inaugural head coach for unified track and field. She decided to circle back to Lynhurst in 2019 as a special education teacher and coached volleyball, basketball, and softball.

Katelin earned her bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of Indianapolis in 2012, and her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Butler University. Along with her duties as an Athletic Director, Katelin teaches AVID. When Katelin is not at work, she enjoys watching sports, running, and driving her Jeep Wrangler.

Meet our Athletic Trainer–Ashley Lewandowski, MS, LAT, ATC

Ashley is in her 9th year here in Wayne Township, and first year through Hendricks Regional Health. Ashley was born and raised in Bloomington, IN and grew up around sports, participating in soccer, cross country, track and lacrosse in high school and going on to play soccer at the collegiate level.

Ashley received her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Alma College, located in central Michigan. She began working for IU Health soon after graduation in 2015 at Lynhurst 7th & 8th Grade Center, while assisting in sports coverage at Ben Davis on the weekends. Ashley went on to receive her Master’s degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology through the Indiana School of Medicine in 2017. Her position is now full time through Hendricks Regional Health Sports Medicine.

Ashley spends her free time being an aunt to three youngsters and still continuing to participate in her own athletic activities including running, soccer and rock climbing. She enjoys being on the sidelines of athletic events in all the action as well as creating relationships with the young athletes of Wayne Township. Go Giants!
